As CORONA started to spread throughout Europe back in the beginning of March 2020 I was on a sailing trip around Southern Spain. I had gone on my own for a couple of weeks of R+R, the sea always does the trick!
I flew to Gibraltar and enjoyed exploring the very peaceful (in March) Costa del Sol coastline and over the Gibraltar straits to Ceuta. It was fantastic, the only hint of a global pandemic being the odd message on my phone. When I returned I was inspired to paint during lockdown! I remembered feeling so relaxed in Estepona marina as I sat with my new found friends having a beer in the marina bar and this painting takes me back there.
This was the view from our visitors berth.
