Cornwall is a great place to walk, sail and explore the sleepy villages, each with its own art gallery. The weather is usually kind and the food is always good. What’s not to love?
This is a painting of the view (if you clambered over the rocks a little) from a cottage in St Ives that we rented one March. The sun shone for the whole trip and it was such a luxury to be so close to the sea. We all enjoyed watching the weather come in and the changes it brought to the sea state. I found the evenings’ twinkling lights over the bay particularly relaxing.
This painting shows a view of the seaside town of St Ives at night. For those who like to name the Cornish sights, it shows Harbour Beach and the buildings on The Wharf. St Nicholas’ Chapel can be seen in the background.
The original painting uses acrylic and oil pastel on canvas.
This is a hand signed and numbered limited edition, Giclee art print. Part of a 150 edition.
I use a leading fine art production studio to ensure gallery-quality reproductions. The original canvas is photographed and colour matched at their studio.
The original canvas is 600mm x 600mm
