There are some clients that are just a dream to work with and James Timpson is definitely one of those people. For his office, he wanted to be surrounded by the products of his business. He had seen a wall of white colanders in a restaurant and loved it and he had found an old prison door made into a coffee table and bought it for the office and so that was the brief for his office.

The old prison door was given a new base to become a standing desk and it set the tone for quite heavy furniture in the scheme. We took the colander idea and ran with it, creating a wall full of all the items that make up the Timpson Group. The collection theme was also brought into the meeting table which we designed to include smaller items representing the group. The table was constructed out of strips of light oak, concrete and lacquer on a black metal base.

On this project, we also designed the chairs out of a tan leather with a black metal base, the for mentioned table, bookcases, sofa and armchairs. As I say, a dream client.
