A complete transformation of an industrial unit to a clean assembly office with a focus on reducing the carbon footprint.

Moorfield work with leading lights in material science research and development, including Nobel prize winners and so it was key that the building was as high tech as it’s products.

We found an industrial unit with good transport links for not just the team but both their domestic and international customers.

The existing portal frame structure was altered considerably to provide a quality shell that would minimise the emissions of the building.

Asbestos was removed from the rear wall. New insulation cladding panels and additional internal installation were added to the entire building to exceed the u values required by current building regulations. The heating, ventilation system and electrical items were all carefully selected to reduce the carbon footprint.

The look was kept very clean, sleek and bold.
